3D Technology

Smart Dental is continually seeking out the best new technology to ensure the most up to date services are available to our patients. Technology in the dental  industry has changed rapidly  in recent years.

With this in mind,  Smart Dental offers patients access to our Kodak 9000  three-dimensional imaging systems in both our Kellyville and West Pennant Hills surgeries. This system enables our patients to continue to receive accessible panoramic imaging technology, with the additional option of  a 3D image where additional information of the jaw and teeth are required.  Anatomically correct 3D images are ready to view onscreen in a matter of minutes.

This 3D technology is useful for the diagnosis and assessment of wisdom teeth, root canal treatment, position of nerves in the jaw, fractures in teeth, as well as bone density in preparation for implant placement. The 3D imaging system provides a true to life size image for ease of viewing and measurements.
